Hello Sajha users,
I have a small confusion here. My brother just came to US a week ago after getting DV lottery. I was wondering whether it is required to go to the social security office to apply for the social security or not. One of my friends' say that he didn't go to the office, the card was delivered to the home. I am not sure whether it is true or not. Could anyone kindly explain what needs to be done in this context ? Thanks in advance.

gc gets mailed, social needs to be applied in the office.. at least few years ago when i helped a close relative.

after you receive our green card make an appointment with ur local SS office.. show up for ur appointment... and done
