Hello friends, From what I have heard and read, GMO or Genetically Modified Organism is not good for natural ecosystem and I felt sad when I read that the big country like US (I guess it's more of multinational firms like Monsanto behind the lobbying) is pushing for GMO in Nepal. I do not know if sojo Nepali farmers know about the full consequences of GMO. Like for example there have been many instances in India, where farmers committed group suicides because they were not able to keep GMO seeds like their natural counterparts. With corrupt politicians in Nepal who would bend to anything without any regard to the country or the health of the Nepali people, I am even more sadden at the helplessness of myself as I don't see myself opposing this tyranny by a big country onto a small nation like Nepal. Guys please spread the word.
